Lakers needs volunteers to help support and develop its programme of activities for adults and young people with special needs.
As a new volunteer, you will be interviewed by the Volunteer Co-ordinator and supported by the staff and management team. You will be given a contract which outlines your roles and responsibilities and you will be given induction training.
You will be encouraged to take up training opportunities with Special Olympics Ireland, various sporting bodies and other providers such as the Red Cross and Health Service Executive.
We currently need volunteers in the following areas:
Daytime and Weekend
Bocce Tuesday
2.00 – 3.00 & 3.00 – 4.00 & Saturday 12.00 – 1.00
Junior Activities Monday
3.45 – 4.45; Tuesday 4.15 – 5.15 & Saturday 9.00– 10.00
Walking Wednesday 10.00 – 3.30
Drop in Wednesday
4.15 – 5.45
Swimming Friday
4.00 – 5.00
Badminton Saturday
12.00 – 1.00
Evenings
Football Monday
5.3 – 7.00
Bowling Tuesday
6.15 – 7.30
Martial Arts Thursday 5.45 – 6.45
Mini Bus drivers – D1 license holders particularly
